Monitor Joint Credit Card Account

A joint credit card account is shared between two individuals and they both are liable to pay for the credit card payments. Their credit history is also affected if the credit card debt is mismanaged on the joint account. So for example if John and Alice have a joint credit card account and if John falls victim to online identity theft or financial fraud than both Alice and John have to incur the damages. In this case Alice had nothing to do with it as she was not the victim of online identity theft.

For example, what if one of your kids under the joint credit card account emails his / her credit card number using ail and that email message gets intercepted by a hacker who uses it to make unauthorized purchases. As we know under most circumstances data transferred over webmail is not secure and
can be viewed and modified by hackers. If your child refuses to take responsibiltiy of his / her actions, then you as the primary credit card account holder will have to deal with the damages caused by the credit card number theft.

The primary credit card account holder can help protect his / her family members from the risks of transmitting credit card numbers in clear-text over the internet by using BreachGuard.
