BreachGuard Blocking Options
BreachGuard by
default will enable users to choose the "Allow or Block"
option when the transmission of credit card number(s) is detected in
clear-text. The "Allow" option
may not be desirable in situations where you do not
the want users to allow the insecure transmission of credit card
numbers.The
"Disable Packet Allow option" in BreachGuard will disable the "Allow"
button from the packet scanner window and also from the alert menu. The "Disable Packet Allow option" will only allow users to view and block the
alert.
To learn how to
set the "Disable Packet Allow option", please visit the help
page. You will be prompted to "Allow or Block" when ever BreachGuard detects the insecure transmission of credit card numbers(s), as show in the screen shot below. You can either right click on the alert menu or press the Allow or Block buttons on the packet scanner window.
Warning: Credit card data will be transmitted in clear-text every time you select the "Allow" option. With the "Disable
Packet Allow option" the "Allow" option
will be disabled (grayed out) from the right click alert menu and from
the packet scanner window as show in the screenshot below.
The following video will demonstrate how the "Disable Packet Allow option" works. |
