How Does BreachGuard Help me?

Credit card data stored and transmitted in clear-text or unencrypted becomes vulnerable to theft by hackers. People often times transmit sensitive information including credit card data both at home and at work using chat programs or personal web email accounts without realizing that they are transmitting sensitive information without encryption. Once you press the "send" button that email or that message is gone with your credit number(s) in clear-text. This is equivalent to someone broadcasting their credit card number(s) using a blow horn in a public place.

BreachGuard is a proactive tool that prevents you from making the mistake of transmitting credit card numbers in clear-text.

BreachGuard will scan and locate insecure storage of credit card data on harddrives, USB flash drives, DVD, CD etc and will let you know the file locations and the type of credit card numbers detected. Based on the information provided by the log files, you can take further actions to secure your credit card data from theft or loss.

Remember: data transmitted over clear-text protocols, for example HTTP and not HTTPS can be intercepted by a hacker using a sniffer.
